Santa Claus Conquers the Martians Directed by Todd Buranen Synopsis: The children of Mars are in trouble! Too much Earth television has made all of the Martian kids distracted and withdrawn. Kimar and the leaders of Mars have had enough and consult the wisest Martian on the planet, Chochem, an 800 year old Martian sage for an answer. Chochem advises the council to kidnap Santa Claus and force him to set up a toy factory on Mars so the Martian children will experience the magic of Christmas. Enter Billy and Betty Foster from Earth to help Santa escape back to the North Pole in time to save Christmas. But can they save Santa from the evil Voldar in time? Maybe. But not before they bring laughter, joy, and the Christmas spirit to the children of Mars. Based on one of the “Top Ten Worst Christmas Films Ever Made”, this hysterical stage adaptation of the 1964 cult classic film is a baffling and confusing mixture of science fiction, Christmas cheer, and childish slapstick live on stage! |
